ASUS Eee PC
Here's a new gadget in town that will soon gonna be a huge hit among techies, executives, students, and as well as for those extremely mobile individuals.
Extremely light, but heavy with features. Runs on a built-in linux os (also windows xp compatible) filled with softwares you usually use for surfing the net (comes with a built-in cam), and for entertainment such as video and music player, built-in games (sudoko, penguin racer, etc.), and of course productivity tools like open-office for viewing and editing documents.
It comes with a 7” display and weighs only 0.92kg. It's shock-proof, power-efficient (4 cells: 5200 mAh, 3.5hrs of battery life), rapid start-up time (takes only a few second to boot), and how bout a built-in WiFi 802.11 b/g that automatically detects and connects to the Internet at any hotspot. Comes also with a built-in card reader, speakers, a microphone, three usb port and a d-sub vga connector (auxiliary video output / lcd projector), for that kick-ass presentation or just for a need to have some bigger screens for that recently downloaded dvd from bitComet.
Here comes the rest of the specification: Model Eee PC 4G (Other models include 2G, 4G, and 8G models). Display: 7” Intel CPU Chipset Ethernet Communication WLAN Memory: 512MB (DDR2) (Other models comes with 256MB and 1G DDR2models) Hard Disk: 4G (Other models comes with 2G and 8G) Camera Hi-definition audio sterio speaker with microphone Battery: 4 Cells- 5200 mAh 3.5 hrs operating time Weight: .92kg
Well, this gadget definitely works for me since I'm always on the go. Checking emails, browsing the web (posting some new threads at MBH while sipping some coffe at wi-fi enabled coffeshops like bo's), taking pictures and uploading it at my flickr in an instant. While at home, i'm no longer being bothered with getting my ass posted on my desktop pc. I can bring the gadget wherever I go- in the sala while watching princess sarah, at the dining room while having my fill, in my bed reading a tom clancy novel (on a pdf format), heck even in my bathroom (just make sure that you have a wireless modem properly installed to have that seamless connection).
It's downside is that you'll need a huge usb storage device since this gadget is designed to only possess a space for its own basic needs. Additional usb-compatible stuff like a usb dvd drive, a usb mouse, a usb keyboard (if you wanna type at least 45 words per minute) is highly recommended.
All these for a damage of only Php18,999.00. How's that for a 13th month pay bonus?
