Cheap HDTV coming…from expensive manufacturers
Price war is capitalism at its finest. Because in the end, consumers win. That is why competition is good people. It lowers price, and breed ingenuity and advances technology. Take HDTVs. They used to be expensive. But now, they’re not. When Sony releases their new LCD line this May/June, they want to be #1. So they’re gonna lower their price. Other LCD manufacturers will do the same to stay competitive. Then the plasma folks don’t want to lose to LCDs, so they’ll lower theirs too.
What does this mean? Cheap HDTVs all around! So how much are we looking at?
To give you an idea of how much you might save, for instance, Sony’s cutting $400 off its 46-inch KDL-46S4100, to $1599, and $500 off its newest 1080p 40-incher, to $1199. So we’re looking at discounts in the 20-25 percent range,
Just pure awesome!
